Deb and Christopher are among the most creative people and shining lights in Southampton and among the most modest, too.
I first met Deb about seven years ago when she created the first Dead Good Festival, consisting of several events throughout the city where people could explore all subjects related to understanding and preparing for a good death. The festival is now annual and has grown from strength to strength. It is unique; it blends music with poetry and craft activities with advice. I was delighted to help out with filming one of the events at St Denys Church earlier this year.
This is just one of the many events she has been involved with over the years since she moved to Southampton to improve the well-being of our local people by organising local picnics, fashion festivals, recycling weekends in the neighbourhood, and climate action gatherings.
