Kristianne is CEO of a local charity, In Focus, that provides crucial support to local young people – creative learning, exploration, and artistic expression opportunities and a safe space for those with minority characteristics/additional challenges such as neuro-divergence and members of the LGBTQIA+ community which often contribute to poorer mental health. With the stretch and strain on NHS and Education resources, this charity fills 2 large gaps in a safe, inclusive, empowering and liberating way. The young people regularly exhibit their work and are supported to step out of their comfort zones as much as they are able to navigate. Kristianne is authentic, empathetic and lives and breathes inclusivity. This has transformed my son’s life – as a creative outlet, developing social confidence, and most of all, finding his “people” to connect with, grow with, and learn from. His 6 months with this group, and with Kristianne’s continued support, have given him more than he had from his entire schooling experience​
