You might have noticed on your walks around the city the small squared mosaics depicting a variety of characters. The man behind all of these is Will Rosie, a mosaic artist, former youth worker, and tireless street pastor. Will Rosie has been part of many arts projects in the city, including the painted zebras, the lighthouses that are on display in the city. I met Will a decade ago. I am very familiar of the amazing work he does as a street pastor, going out on evening and night patrols with his wife and others, to help people in need, from young vulnerable women who have gone out clubbing to people who are struggling with life. But he also made it his mission to brighten up the city with his mosaics. People have organised walking trails to find the mosaics, including people who haven’t been out of the house for a long time. He is a shining light for the city.
