City Reflections: Illuminating Southampton’s Stories Postcards

City Reflections: Illuminating Southampton’s Stories Postcards

City Reflections invited people across the city to pause, look up and experience Southampton in a new way. Inspired by the creative legacy of Arthur Jeffress, visitors were encouraged to share the moments, memories and ideas from the trail that stood out to them.

Through these postcards, members of the public have captured personal reflections, stories and creative responses to the project. You can explore a selection of these contributions here — and if you saw the projections, you may still be able to add your own reflection to the growing display at Southampton Central Library.

What Women Write

6 November 2025

The workshops are open to anyone who identifies as a woman. No prior experience in creative writing is required, and you don’t need to be familiar with Jane Austen’s work — though Austen fans are warmly welcomed too.
